If you’re looking for some plus-money player props tonight, look no further. The Astros-Giants game has a couple of hot players to watch tonight at Minute Maid Park.
I’ve got some fun trends for you today,,,
Astros rookie Hunter Brown has started seven major-league games and appeared in 12 across the past two seasons for Houston. He has five wins in 50⅔ innings of work with a strikeout rate of 9.49 batters per nine innings. His ERA was 0.89 last season and it’s 2.37 this year. But, that’s still not what’s most impressive. Listen to this:
Yes, you read that correctly. Brown has not given up a long ball in any of his 50⅔ innings of work.
The Giants have the third-most home runs in the league this season (48) with 60.5% of their runs scored coming from the home run. That’s the most in MLB.
John Hefti/USA Today Sports
One player in particular is smoking hot right now: LaMonte Wade Jr.
What happens tonight when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?
Wade is +550 to hit a home run tonight. Brown is +100 to strike out more than 6.5 batters.
Did I mention the Giants also have the highest strikeout rate in the league (27.5%)?
England captain will continue to build towards Test summer by turning out against Lancashire in Blackpool

Ben Stokes will make his first appearance for Durham in the County Championship since May 2022 against Lancashire this week as he steps up his return as an allrounder. The England Test captain’s last competitive match came in the final match of the tour of India at the start of March. Having pulled out of the IPL, Stokes subsequently made himself unavailable for next month’s T20 World Cup to ensure he can play a full part in the Test summer, with bat and ball, following surgery in November to clear out a troublesome left knee that prevented him from doing the latter. With almost two months to go before the first Test against West Indies, which begins at Lord’s on July 10, Stokes will begin his tune-up at Blackpool on Friday. With Durham sitting fifth in Division One with one win and three draws, head coach Ryan Campbell was understandably buoyed by the influence Stokes’ will have on his squad and the competition as a whole.Related

Potts injects brief jeopardy before stalemate reigns between Hampshire and Durham
Key, McCullum, Stokes told Anderson: It's time to move on
“We’re looking to kickstart our season and we’re looking forward to welcoming England captain Ben Stokes back into our team for the first time – it will be absolutely awesome,” Campbell told BBC Radio Newcastle.”I suggest if you’ve got a few days over the weekend you get down to Blackpool and watch the great Ben Stokes return for Durham.”Players always want to play against the best players in the competition. To have one of those players in our own team to show us the way, his experiences, it’s unbelievable.”Suddenly, there’s an air of excitement around the place just because he walks in the room.”Stokes, 32, played all five matches of England’s 4-1 loss in India, but only bowled in the final Test. He removed Rohit Sharma with his very first delivery, eventually bowling just five overs.Having initially ruled himself out of bowling on the trip, such was the speed of his recovery behind the scenes that he decided to turn his arm over in Dharamsala. He subsequently left the tour with his sights set on building his bowling back up, not least because England struggled to balance their team without a seam-bowling allrounder.Though Stokes has had time off, he has ticked over with his bowling, slowly increasing the intensity of sessions with six Tests to come this summer – three against Sri Lanka after the West Indies series – and tours of Pakistan and New Zealand before the end of the year. Speaking to the BBC’s podcast on Monday, men’s managing director Rob Key said he was encouraged by Stokes’ progress.”Ben in particular is feeling, for the first time in quite some time, that he is bowling pain free, and is able to bowl almost, straight away, into his top end speed,” Key said. “And he’s not having to go through pain barriers all the time to do it. I think he feels liberated by the fact the knee op has been a success and he feels he can now look to this part of his career being able to do both things, which is always a big thing for an allrounder.”It’s one thing if you’re batting; if you fail with the bat you feel you can contribute with the ball. If you take one of those away, it becomes a trickier game for allrounders.”The trip to Blackpool is one of four red-ball matches for Durham that Stokes could play between now and the first West Indies Test. It is still to be determined whether he will be available for Durham’s Vitality Blast campaign, which begins on May 30. Whether with the red or white ball, Stokes and the England management will aim to ensure he has the necessary overs under his belt before the Test summer begins.”Even Ben Stokes, as indestructible as we always think he is, he needs to build up slowly and then hopefully peak at just the right time to go on and not have to worry,” said Key.”Because it’s not just about your back, your knee and the knee you had operated on – you just lose that bit of resilience and robustness that bowling requires. I don’t think there’s any other force you can put your body through like what it does when you bowl, so he just needs to build up into that again.”

INDEFINIÇÃO NO COMANDO TÉCNICO

Bright will not be part of England's Euro 2025 squad
Chelsea captain has been taking extended period of recovery
Now withdraws from Lionesses selection this summer
Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱
WHAT HAPPENED?
Bright was initially included in Sarina Wiegman's squad for the penultimate round of Nations League fixtures this past week but withdrew to take "an extended period of recovery" after admitting that she was "mentally and physically" at her "limits". Now, the Chelsea captain has extended that period even longer, by choosing to make herself unavailable for selection for England at this summer's Euros.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
It continues what has been a shocking week of news for the Lionesses, kicked off by Mary Earps' stunning retirement at the end of May. reported that Wiegman wanted the goalkeeper to be part of her England squad this summer as the back-up to Hannah Hampton, but Earps chose to instead step away from international duty with immediate effect. Then, on Tuesday night came the news that Fran Kirby would also be hanging up her boots on an England front, having not made the cut for the Euros. To also lose Bright is a huge blow, especially considering the cumulative experience the dressing room will be without.
WHAT BRIGHT SAID
In a statement on social media, Bright wrote: "This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, but after careful thought and discussions with my team, I have decided to withdraw from selection for the England squad ahead of Euro 2025. Football has given me so much and representing my country has always been my greatest honour. My pride and ego tells me to go but I think the team and the fans deserve more.
"Right now, I'm not able to give 100 per cent mentally or physically. As much as I want to be out there running through brick walls for England and fighting alongside my team-mates, stepping back is the right thing for my health, my future in the game and, most importantly, the team. It wouldn't be fair for me to take the place and opportunity away from another player who is ready and able to give everything for the badge and country.
"I'll be supporting the team with everything I've got and hoping this incredible group of players will do the nation proud. Thank you to my team-mates, coaches and, most importantly, the fans for your unwavering supporting, it means the world to me."
DID YOU KNOW?
The good news, at least, is that England do have a lot of depth at the centre-back position. Bright's absence likely paves the wave for Alex Greenwood to start alongside Leah Williamson in defence, though Esme Morgan got the nod there in Friday's win over Portugal. Jess Carter will also compete in that spot, while Bright's withdrawal could open the door for Lotte Wubben-Moy to be included in Wiegman's final squad.
Nottingham Forest are considering making a move to sign a “skilful” £20 million star in the summer, according to a new report.
Nottingham Forest transfer news
The Reds have nine games to go in the Premier League to fulfil their dream and secure a place in next season’s Champions League. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been outstanding all campaign, with midfielder and captain Morgan Gibbs-White at the heart of that.

His performances have caught the attention of some of the big teams in the Premier League, but according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Forest will “do everything they can” to keep hold of the Englishman this summer. O’Rourke goes on to add that securing Champions League qualification will put the Reds in a stronger position to retain their best players.
As they look to keep hold of Gibbs-White, according to TEAMtalk, Forest are keeping a close eye on Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham ahead of the summer.
Forest are among the Premier League teams keeping a watchful eye on the Black Cats midfielder and could be ready to pounce should Sunderland fail to seal promotion. However, the Championship side are not looking to sell or negotiate with any team, meaning a big offer may have to arrive for them to be tempted.
Nottingham Forest considering move to sign £20m+ star
It is not only a new midfielder the Midlands side want, as according to reports from Italy, relayed by Sport Witness, Nottingham Forest are weighing up a move to sign defender Fikayo Tomori from Italian giants AC Milan.
AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori.
The report claims that there is a concrete possibility that Milan look to sell the English defender this summer as long as they receive a €25 million transfer fee, which is roughly £21 million. Forest are keeping an eye on his situation, but they are not alone, as Newcastle United are also weighing up whether to make a move or not.
However, they may hold a small advantage, as Tomori already knows two Forest players in Ola Aina and Callum Hudson-Odoi, as he played with the pair at Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Tottenham could also be potentially interested in a deal for Tomori after they looked to sign the centre-back during the January transfer window. The Italian giants already have in mind replacements for Tomori should he leave the San Siro.

The 27-year-old has been with Milan since July 2021, and while he was an instant regular in the team, this season he has lost his place, playing just 14 times in Serie A. Despite the disappointment of this season, Tomori has been largely successful in Italy, with him being described as a “skilful” defender by Franco Baresi.
He previously told The Daily Mail: “He is young and has played well so far when he’s had the chance. He is skilful and has great physical attributes. He is still adapting to the Italian league, and I think he can only grow as a defender and help us out.”
New Zealand all but booked their place in the World Cup semi-final against India with a dominant five-wicket win – with 160 balls to spare – against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. The result took them to ten points, and a net run rate (NRR) of 0.743, leaving Pakistan needing to beat England by 287 runs, while Afghanistan need an even more fantastical 438-run win over South Africa, if they are to surpass New Zealand’s NRR.If Pakistan were to chase, they would have no chance of qualifying. As for Sri Lanka, the margin of defeat against New Zealand left them languishing in ninth place, thus out of qualification for the 2025 Champions Trophy. They now need one of England or Bangladesh to suffer defeats – while Netherlands also need to lose to India – to the extent that their respective NRRs drop below Sri Lanka’s.New Zealand’s win was the product of an all-round performance with bat and ball. While the threat of rain in Bengaluru ultimately proved to be a red herring, winning the toss and putting Sri Lanka in seemed to be the most prudent way to ensure both an NRR-boosting victory as well as hedge against any rain interruptions and DLS interventions. And so it proved. Despite the loss of some late wickets, Sri Lanka’s total of 171 was comfortably dealt with, as Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell all pitched in with forties. On a pitch that proved even better to bat on under lights, Ravindra and Conway put on 86 to break open the chase, before Mitchell’s 43 off just 31 balls rammed home the result. All three fell before the finish, but the win was never in doubt.Kusal Perera counterattacked for Sri Lanka amid plenty of early blows•AFP/Getty Images
That it was so easy in the end was down to a solid bowling effort and a haphazard outing with the bat for Sri Lanka. New Zealand shared the wickets around, with Lockie Ferguson, Mitchell Santner and Ravindra picking up two apiece, though Trent Boult’s 3 for 37 was what had set his side up at the top of Sri Lanka’s innings – and earned him the Player-of-the-Match award.Such was New Zealand’s dominance that they won so comfortably despite dropping three catches. The first was of Kusal Perera without scoring, as Tom Latham grassed a straightforward caught behind. Latham got his shot at redemption a ball later though, with Pathum Nissanka nicking through for an even more simple chance.Kusal Mendis fell a few overs later, splicing a leading edge to deep third while looking to hit over midwicket, with Sadeera Samarawickrama following soon after edging through to Mitchell at first slip. Both those wickets were grabbed by the excellent Boult, taking him past 50 wickets in World Cups – he ended the game with that tally on 52.But even as wickets fell at one end, Perera functioned as a one-man army, finding boundaries all around the Chinnaswamy Stadium, and punishing New Zealand for that early drop. Two picked-up sixes over long-on off Tim Southee were the highlights of some belligerent ball striking, as he brought up his 50 off just 22 deliveries – the joint second-fastest by a Sri Lankan in ODI World Cups.Trent Boult went past 50 World Cup wickets•ICC/Getty Images
An over later, though, Charith Asalanka was adjudged lbw off Boult after a well-taken review, before Perera fell a few deliveries later, getting under a delivery from Ferguson that was not full enough to drive and slicing it to cover.Sri Lanka were in free fall at 70 for 5 in the tenth over, before Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya de Silva put up mild resistance. Dhananjaya was reprieved too, courtesy Latham’s second drop of the game, a tough chance off Santner during that stand of 34. Santner’s guile, control and subtle variations in pace, however, were eventually too good for the pair.Mathews was the first to go in what might have been his last World Cup innings – perhaps even ODI innings – lunging forward at one that was floated up and then dipped. He failed to get to the pitch, and the bounce and turn did the rest, grazing the outside edge to Mitchell at slip. It was a similar story for Dhananjaya, after another flighted delivery with some added bounce found its way into Mitchell’s hands.Maheesh Theekshana batted for 91 deliveries•ICC/Getty Images
Chamika Karunaratne, making just his second appearance at this World Cup, did not fare any better, edging behind Ferguson. A swift end to the innings seemed imminent but Maheesh Theekshana, in partnerships with Dushmantha Chameera and Dilshan Madushanka, showed the resistance that was lacking throughout the rest of the innings. In facing 91 deliveries, Theekshana played more balls than all of Sri Lanka’s frontline batters combined. Even Madushanka’s 48 balls were more than what any other batter faced apart from Theekshana.Theekshana remained unbeaten on 38 – the second-highest scorer of the innings – as the ninth and tenth wicket stands, despite only contributing 58 runs, spanned 139 deliveries. Sri Lanka lost their eighth wicket in the 24th over, but it wasn’t until the 47th that New Zealand dismissed them, with Ravindra finding Madushanka’s edge for Latham to complete a sharp take.It took a while for New Zealand to get there, after winning their first four matches and then losing their next four, but this victory has all but ensured a fifth consecutive ODI World Cup semi-final.

Despite defeat on Tuesday night, there’s still so much for Aston Villa to play for in the remaining months of the season.
In mid-week, Unai Emery’s team were hammered 4-1 by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, meaning the Claret and Blue Army have won only one of their last seven in the Premier League, thereby slipping down to tenth.
Ollie Watkins for Aston Villa.
Nevertheless, the Villans have reached the FA Cup fifth round for the first time since being runners-up a decade ago, welcoming Cardiff City to Villa Park on Friday night, before travelling to Jan Breydelstadion for the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against Club Brugge.
However, not so long ago, being in the Champions League and aiming to win domestic cups was a mere pipe dream for Villa supporters, personified by their former club-record signing, compared to one of the club’s best-ever Premier League strikers, who has completely fallen off the radar.
Christian Benteke's time at Aston Villa
Christian Benteke was only at Aston Villa for three seasons but made quite the impression in the Midlands, scoring some pivotal goals and making the club a huge return on their investment.
The Belgian, only 22-years-old at the time, arrived from Genk for a reported £7m on deadline day in the summer of 2012.
He would go on to score 49 goals in just 101 appearances in a claret and blue shirt, averaging a goal every 171 minutes, firing Villa to the FA Cup Final in 2015, as well as being a key figure as Tim Sherwood’s team avoided relegation that same season.
Hailed as “world-class” by another of his former managers Paul Lambert, Benteke remains one of only seven players to have scored 40+ goals for Villa in the Premier League.

As the table shows, Benteke has, by far, the best minutes-per-goal ratio of any Villa forward in the Premier League-era, well apart from Jhon Durán, whose 12 goals came in just 1,214 minutes, which equates to a goal every 101 minutes.
Nevertheless, his prolific figures saw Benteke join Liverpool for £32.5m in 2015, later admitting his three years at Villa were “the best time” of his career, but the supposed heir to the Belgian’s throne didn’t quite live up to these high standards.
Where Are They Now
Your star player or biggest flop has left the club but what are they doing in the present day? This article is part of Football FanCast’s Where Are They Now series.
What happened to Aston Villa's next Christian Benteke
Following their promotion back to the Premier League in 2019, Aston Villa went big, spending a reported £140m on 12 new recruits.
The most expensive of those was Wesley, who arrived from Club Brugge for £22m, at the time a club-record.
The previous season, the Brazilian had scored 17 goals for the Belgian Blue-Blacks, on target home and away against Monaco in the Champions League, with Luke Hatfield of the Daily Express comparing him to Benteke, who’d also arrived from Belgium, stating ‘both bring a sizeable frame and exciting physical traits’.
Welsey did make a decent start to his Villa career, scoring six times during the first half of the season, earning him his senior international debut for Brazil against Argentina, only to rupture his anterior cruciate ligament during a 2-1 victory at Burnley on New Year’s Day.
From that moment on, his Villa career never recovered, spending 480 days on the sidelines, but barely featuring in claret and blue again, loaned back to Club Brugge for the following season.
So, let’s look at Wesley’s post-ACL injury career.

As the table shows, Wesley’s career has never really recovered, Adam Cleary of Football League World describing his one-season stint at Stoke as ‘miserable’ and a ‘disaster’. That is until now.
Last summer, the hulking striker joined Fatih Karagümrük, who were relegated from the Turkish Süper Lig last season, for whom he has been on fire, scoring 14 goals, two more than current Villa star Morgan Rogers, making him the division’s leading scorer, with his team second, on course for automatic promotion.
Of course, the Turkish second-tier isn’t the highest level of football around, Football Data Base believes Fatih Karagümrük to be the 1,418th strongest team in the world, just below Reading and Portsmouth for context, but it’s great to see Wesley enjoying his best scoring season since that horrific injury at Turf Moor.
Aston Villa have already sold their own Mateta who's a "true monster"
Aston Villa may regret selling this star who’s shades of Mateta.
