Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s move to Liverpool in 2017 is one of Arsenal’s most expensive departures.

Signed from Southampton in 2011, Oxlade-Chamberlain won three FA Cups and three Community Shields with the Gunners, making 198 appearances in total.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool came knocking and forked out a £35m fee for the Englishman, who would go on to win the Premier League and Champions League at Anfield.

1 Folarin Balogun £35m to Monaco, 2023

Currently top of the charts as Arsenal’s record sale is Folarin Balogun, who joined Monaco in 2023 after failing to break through to the first team from the Arsenal academy.

Balogun impressed in France with Reims the season before to catch Monaco’s attention, with the attacker penning a deal until 2028 with the Ligue 1 side.

His £35m switch is all the more impressive from the Gunners’ perspective given he was hardly in the first-team picture at the time of his departure.

O arqueiro tem passagem de sucesso pelas categorias de base, mas foi ‘desabrochar’ mesmo apenas na atual temporada, vestindo a camisa do Timbu. ​Lucas Perri mostrou o potencial que tanto prometia no Náutico. Ele foi emprestado ao Timbu no começo do ano em uma negociação que teve o dedo de Muricy Ramalho, um dos diretores do São Paulo e que teve uma passagem marcante no clube como treinador.

Não demorou muito para assumir a titularidade. O Timbu precisava de um goleiro titular depois da saída de Anderson, que retornou para o Athletico Paranaense após o fim do empréstimo – vale lembrar que o arqueiro teve um bom desempenho em 2021.

– Ele chega para substituir o Anderson e rapidamente consegue se destacar. Mesmo o Náutico tendo problemas de zaga, esse ano com um cenário ainda pior, porque o time errou muito nas contratações, o Perri conseguiu salvar desde o início… Clássicos contra o Sport, pegando pênalti em semifinal de Copa do Nordeste, pegando dois pênaltis na final do Estadual, ele tomou conta da posição. Por falar em pênaltis, Lucas Perri tem muito de Gatito Fernández no que diz respeito à frieza na marca de cal: o goleiro de 24 anos defendeu seis cobranças – contando disputas de pênalti – na temporada.

– Ele foi evoluindo cada vez mais. Saída com os pés, saída aérea, mano a mano… O Náutico tem a defesa mais vazada da Série B e é o time com mais derrotas, mas sem o Perri a situação do Náutico não sei nem se seria 21 pontos (na Série B). O jogo contra o Itauno o Náutico empata com ele pegando pênalti. É um goleiro que foi uma peça muito decisiva apesar da temporada vexatória que o clube faz – completou.

Perri foi o herói da conquista do título Pernambucano. Após empate no placar agregado entre Náutico e Retrô, ele pegou duas cobranças de pênaltis na decisão na marca da cal e garantiu a conquista ao Timbu.
